Today, chassis manufactures offer a spot mirror located on the drivers side mirror assembly angled up at the top of the hopper so the driver can view the container as their emptying the contents. In the past, before manufactures offered that, body companies (for a extra fee) would install the "Scope" above the drivers head to let them see the container as they were tipping it into the hopper.
