Rubatino Refuse Removal started in 1907 in the Everett, Washington area. Named H. Rubatino & Co., dba City Scavengers.
Picking up trash using a horse and cart, it was not until 1919 when the first truck was purchased causing the driver to learn the route...they couldn't rely on the horse! In 1955 they purchased their first packer body, a chain operated packer that they were not impressed with. They never bought a second.
In 1967 they changed their name to Rubatino Refuse Removal Inc.
